Can I upgrade my Graphics card to this?

So i have a emachine t5254 and i hate it. I want to know if i can upgrade the graphics to Geforce 8600gs just to play Unturned and minecraft. I know where to buy the part so don't worry and i don't have any money to start a new computer i only have 200. I'll wait from this T5254 to break down so i'll build a better one. So will it work or do i need another card so it'll be compatible?

Sure ya could, but consider my recommendation - The video card I recommend for general computing and light to medium gaming is the Radeon R7-260X. For heavier gaming maxed out I recommend the Radeon R9-270X. (If you prefer NVidia cards, the GeForce 750 is like the 260X.)

Remember, computers are built with a power supply just barely able to power them as they are. A video card of any kind requires an upgrade of the power supply. Even the video cards that don't have extra power connections can draw up to 75 watts from the motherboard. I recommend 750 watts, major name brand, semi-modular or full modular, 80+ rated, single 12 volt rail, active PFC, and so on.

It's always best to have more power than you need. Power supplies are happiest running below their maximum, and they live much longer lives. You don't want to have to buy a whole new power supply in a few years just because you skimped today, do you?

Total cost would be $120 to $240 for the video card, and $120 or so for the power supply.

You MUST buy a power supply to feed your system plus video card!

It is compatible with your motherboard but though y i you might get some lag from bottlenecking if your video card is higher end. I think you can buy a 9800gt or maybe a 560ti with your money so if the computer poops out you can put the graphics card into your new one.
