Can you re download previously bought games on an Xbox One?

I have recently got an Xbox One, i know that certain games can't be played it yet but i know that Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare for example does, and i'm sure Minecraft will be soon. I have bought both of these games on my Xbox 360, can i (i'm using the same account i bought them on) re download them onto my Xbox one without having to pay again?

I'm new to this and i'm really not sure, Thanks to anyone who can answer.

In general, no. A game bought on 360 doesn't mean that you will automatically get it on XBO.

The game publisher may be able to set up a deal, that if you have it on 360 you can get the XBO for a discount, or free to make it a true cross-buy situation like Sony has with some of its PS3 and Vita game, but that isn't the default. It would depend on the game.

As it stands now, nothing carries over from the 360 to the Xbox One.

You'll be able to buy Minecraft at a discount on the One if you own it on the 360, but it won't be free.

Thank you
