I play minecraft quite a bit and i have recently made a server. But it keeps crashing?

I have a minecraft server that my friends and i play on and it has never crashed before, i have recently spent a very long time making a map for my friends and i but when i put it on my server i get zero ticks and it crashes a few seconds after starting the server.

I'm curious to know the upload and download speed of your internet. If it's a large map, your computer is trying to upload all that data, then allow your friends to modify that uploaded area. If the map size is greater than your upload speed it's not going to be able to host the map.
