I recently just got an ASUS G750 but it doesn't run as well as expected, why is this?

It's the ASUS G750 one with the Core i7, 8 GB RAM, 2.4 GHz and GEFORCE GTX 870m.

Having it plugged in increases performance and the Power4Gear High Performance option is selected but my games still lag.

I'm trying all these in fullscreen and have a 8 GB SD Card with ReadyBoost (which uses some of the SD Card as extra RAM)

Browser games run well but… That's browser games.

Minecraft runs really good even up to 256x256 texture pack but then putting shaders already lags the game a lot (runs at 6 FPS) if not crashes the game.

I tried a few other smaller games like Slender and the pre-alpha Kidnapped.

Slender runs almost cleanly at full resolution and best graphics (the "fantastic" option)

And Kindnapped almost runs cleanly at highest resolution but lowest graphics possible…

RPG games are out of the question because they probably already run well on this if it runs well on a 4 GB RAM laptop with 2.2 GHz and Intel Pentium.

A review video on this laptop shows that it should be able to run Bioshock Infinite CLEANLY AT FULL RESOLUTION and ABOVE normal graphics.

I'm not even running anything major right now and both fans are already running kinda quickly.

My guesses (as options)
Just bad luck and got a Bad Laptop (possible since I'm just an unlucky person)

Virus (I have Webroot Secure AnyWhere which automatically blocks insecure websites and imediately deletes malicious downloads)

I still have settings to change for better performance (?)

Page files use a lot of disk transfer, which reduces read/write speeds - You're better off not utilizing virtual memory. You should upgrade your graphics divers (and others) and tweak your performance settings (if you know how) and if all else fails get a new GPU.
