I have a 64 bit pc. Should I have the 64 bit java?

Java, shockwave player, flash player, direct x all help improve gaming performance minecraft could be lagging mainly the processor and gpu that you have, kind of weird java should of detected that your laptop was 64 bit

No m8, 64 bit just means you can play n64 games better than other PCs.

I doubt it; 64 bit PCs can run 32 bit software just fine… The only time it matters is when they use certain instructs (usually found only in math and science applications or on the operating system [OS, like Windows] - never have seen them used in a program like a game YET. Even ones that claim to be "64-bit applications." The only difference is that you might get a speed up - but that isn't always true (and some 64bit software is extremely buggy).
