How to mod minecraft 1.7.9 on windows 7?

I would love a detailed step by step description, but anything like a video or small list will do. I just want to mod Minecraft. FYI I'm not dumb in computer items such as location.

Go to 9minecraft.net, click on version 1.7.9, and find the mod you want. In the window, it should tell you how to install it
