I want to get a laptop for gaming (mainly minecraft) but i also want one that looks good and is great with surfing the web and watching videos and also doing homework. I really need some opinions on what would be better to get thanks!

Well value for money you'd be better off getting a gaming laptop really as a macbook isn't really a gaming platform but it is still solid for minecraft but it you want to save yourself some bucks you can go for a cheaper laptop which can still run minecraft extremely well for example I have a HP Pavilion x360 that can play minecraft amazingly for a cheap price of £300 but it's all down to personal preference

Definitely a gaming laptop for gaming. Macbooks are more for editing videos than gaming, but they work. Just nowhere nearly as efficent as a gaming laptop.

If all you want to do is Minecraft, then most $300 (USD) laptops (specifically those with Intel Pentium N3540s and 4 GB of RAM) will be able to play it at low graphical settings.
