I want to buy minecraft for xbox 360 but am also getting a xbox one pretty soon. Would the same minecraft for xbox 360 function for xbox one? Or will they just release an update to make minecraft work for xbox one? Or will they just release a new disk alltogether?

No, it doesn't work on Xbox One. No Xbox 360 games work on the One.
There's a version coming out in early 2014 that is for the Xbox One, but no exact release date yet, or what they might do for people who have the 360 version.

Lucky for you can hook up other systems to your Xbox One using an HDMI cable, and stream it from the "watch TV" feature.
Then you can just take it from there.
