I love me some Skyrim, Fallout, and Minecraft, and I'm open to play all the other great PC games and what not. I use the Xbox, but I have really pondered on the Idea of getting a really powerful gaming computer, ones that will eventually be able to run a graphic overhaul smoothly, however, I don't really have a lot of money to spare right now and would like to start small, and work my way up. What would be the best computer and attachment(s) to start with, and maybe a link for forums to ask?
Is a gaming computer worth the money?
If you're a serious computer gamer then yes, a gaming computer is worth it. If you're just a casual player then a game system, like Xbox or PlayStation, is good enough.

In 2016 they are set to release some new GPUs and architecture that will totally blow away what we have today. You just need something to last you two years.
Unless you have a 4k monitor there's no reason to spend a gazillion dollars to make sure absolutely none of your curves have straight edges. As long as the games are playable who cares… Save your money and when these cards come out in 2016 you'll be ready to drop $3K on a beast of a machine.
FOR GAMING I WOULD SUGGEST YOU A PS OR XBOX
For the games you mention, you don't need a real power house. You didn't say what you currently have, but if you have a quad processor and 4 gigs of memory, you could add a 750Ti to your existing system and be just as well off as if you had a $300+ graphics card. The 750 Ti runs about $150 and has a big advantage of only requireing 60 watts (stock) which is about half that of its competitors and makes it a viable option for someone with a 300 watt power supply.
