How come my minecraft llama won't carry things?

You need to click or maybe sneak and click on them with a chest then they will have an inventory when you open it (like donkeys) however the space is very limited i recommend getting some mules and donkeys and use a lead on them when you want to move stuff i do it all the time when i'm mining or out gathering other materials you don't need to saddle them as far as i know just tame them and put a chest on them
