So i have a xbox 360 and I got minecraft and i love the game aswell as my brother abd it will be absolutely wonderful to play and collaberate with my brother on minecraft so i was wondering If a hd monitor would let me play split screen minecraft with my brother even if it dosnt have a hdmi cable but it is hd?

The fact a monitor is HD is irrelevant Minecraft on Xbox supports split screen. But to answer your question. Directly.
I have played split screen on Minecraft, on Xbox 360 and on an HD TV via an HDMI cable. As long as your Xbox can display on the TV your fine.
