Windows has shut down to prevent damage to computer?

So I was playing Minecraft on my Win 7 PC and when I went on fullscreen mode, My PC crashed after a few minutes and a blue screen appeared and said "Windows must shut down to prevent damage to computer" or something like that. But it did it agian when I played other games on fullscreen mode. Anyone know how i'd fix it?

That is more than likely a graphics card driver or setting, When Windows BSoD now it generally means that some hardware failed to continue working and Windows basically shut down all computer functions because it couldn't identify and fix the problem. The other common problem is a failing RAM component, which means a RAM sector was accessed to process the full screen mode and sent back an error, but I would start by checking the Graphics Card first.

I've been having a similar issue.

If you have more than one RAM card, remove them one-by-one attempting to start your computer up after unplugging one.

Chances are one of the cards is defective.

It's a big problem. My family pc just had the same thing only it was a trojan which I killed in safe mode. I saw the same error.

What's your installed software? Do a full virus scan. Scandisk thoroughly. Clean the registry. Update Vista.

The game's graphics setting is too powerful for the computer to handle. You need to lower the graphics rendering to a lower setting in full screen mode. The current mode the graphics can't handle. This should fix it. If it doesn't you will need a $40 graphics card.
