I have made an account for Minecraft and it says that i'm logged on as my email instead of my username I have not bought MInecraft yet but do I haave to buy it before choosing my username?

Yes. At the moment you have a Mojang account, so when you do buy minecraft, you will log in with your email instead of username. You will still have a username, but will login through Mojang.
