It's a game about 8bit block building. Why hasn't someone made an actual high quality block building game? Minecraft has the worst game mechanics and there's no plot, no challenge. I understand most kids play this game but I feel like this game is ruining the social lives of countless young kids. I thought World of Warcraft was bad. Boy's don't want to go meet girls and play with their friends, they'd rather sit at home in their room playing a horrible version of legoland adventures by themselves. I really don't care if you post negative comments, they don't affect me. At least answer the question if you do it.

It's ok… It just gets repetitive after a while. And they can download mods and texture packs to make it have a specific goal.

Honestly, I believe it's because minecraft, like tetris, is monotamous enough, and simple enough to hold attention, in a way, which is effortless, and sadly has possibilities. You can play with multiple friends, which adds appeal, and it's easy. If you think about it, alot of the games we play today, that are popular, such as, candycrush, bejewled, angry birds, ect. Are growing in both simplicity, and downloads, not only in younger, but also older generations. When things present little, or no challenge, we tend to spend more time with it, because we have no reason to get off. It's handed to us.
