Ok so I have an Intel Core i5 HD 3000 graphic card. On an Acer-Aspire 5750 With 2.50Ghz with a turbo boost up to 3.1Ghz. 500 GB of memory, and 4Gb of Ram. But apparently I have of the most horrible cards out there. It runs all my Sims 3 games smoothly. But I want games like
Elder Scrolls Vs Skyrim.
Left 4 Dead 2
Minecraft to run without lag
SIms 4. (Whenever it comes out)
So I'd like to know is a Force3D AMD ATI radeon HD 6450 2Gb DDR3 HDMI DVI VGA video graphics card good for that. I don't know much about graphic cards And I'd like to know if I get a better one will I be able to replace my current one? Or am I stuck with what I have already. I have an Aunt who would know how to replace it already I just want to know is it possible? And is the card I just mentioned a good one? Better than my current one? And if not what is a good graphics card that isn't over 120.00$? Help will be much appreciated, Thank you! Ps. I'm 13 and will only be getting around 200.00 for Christmas so I can't work for extremely expensive stuff, or get a new laptop.
What to replace my Intel Core Hd i5 300 Graphic card with?
It's a laptop, you can't change anything except the ram and the hard disk, laptops are no good for games as they have cut down graphics and suffer from heat build up due to lack of ventilation, if it had a proper graphics card the battery would last about 30 minutes
Does that laptop even have space for a graphics card? Very few do.
a full size graphic card is extremely unlikely to fit and your current graphics "card" isn't actually a card, it is part of the CPU.
Yeah sorry to break it to you, laptops aren't user-upgrade-friendly in that you can't change out any of the components other that the HDD and RAM which, more than likely, aren't going to help you at this point. They do make gaming laptops but anything worth while will run you clear over $1000 in paper money.
Keep saving that money and one day you'll find a great desktop that can play all these. Or who knows, maybe even learn how to build your own desktop and upgrade it from there. Until then, maybe pick up a cheap PS3 and play Skyrim for ever.
