What things do i need to get minecraft on macbook 2009 or 2008?

What programs to play minecraft pc, i know i need java but does it cost money, and what other things i need.

Well to start you need to buy Minecraft off of there website (Minecraft.net). You should be able to get it once you have java the only issue is that your graphics card might not be the best thus Minecraft will run slow and be very laggy. Macs are usually really nice to play Minecraft on. Hope this helps!
