What Operating System should I use?

I'm in the process of buying the parts to build my gaming computer and need to find an operating system for it. I want to lay team fortress 2 and cs go and maybe other games like gta v, minecraft, overwatch etc.

Here are my parts if you need them

Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor
CRYORIG C7 40.5 CFM CPU Cooler
MSI H81M-E33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Kingston SSDNow UV400 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
EVGA GeForce GTX 950 2GB FTW ACX 2.0 Video Card
Logisys CS308RD ATX Mid Tower Case w/480W Power Supply

Windows 7 will no longer be supported in 3 years.
Windows 10 is basically a polished version of Windows 8.

I've had no problems with Windows 10 myself. It runs games faster than it did in Windows 7, uses the CPU more efficiently for old games, and you won't have to upgrade for a long time. Windows 10 I use windows 7 and thats honestly all you need. Windows 10 has a windows 7 mode if you want to switch back so either is fine. Neither really determines how well your games will run. That 480W PSU is a bit dodgy. You should be looking at a 550+ instead.

But OS wise, Windows 10 is fine for you, Windows 7 is the best OS for games hands down. That is a very strange build, i assume you went with the cpu to overclock, problem being you could save the money on the cpu cooler and get a i3-6100 instead. You could get a rx 470 for a similar price as a GTX 950 and have a lot more performance, even both gtx 1050's will beat out that card and be cheaper. PSU being dodgy is a good term for it, id get a slightly better one. Also you didn't list a HD
you will have to use win 10 at some point, so may as well get it now. I recommend windows 7 not 8 or 10. Windows 7 had plenty time to get the bugs out and runs fine it's also only $50 on ebay TF2, CS: GO and Minecraft, that mess can handle. Overwatch requires an i3 or better + a 64-bit OS… GTA V requires a quad core + a 64-bit OS. Older games only for a dual core setup.

Using a single stick of RAM with a motherboard that has a dual channel memory architecture? So much for optimum performance.

A $50 case that comes with a power supply. Worth $25 each? When cheap power supplies fry, they usually take other components with them… Good luck.

You can use any OS you want, but for gaming it needs to be 64-bit. https://www.g2a.com/?search=windows%2010%20pro Linux
