What is the best laptop to get for gaming?

I would disagree with saying Alienware is the best. The brand is very over priced for what you get. Don't get me wrong they make a good computer its just overpriced for what you are getting. You are paying alot of money just for the name. When looking for a gaming computer I would recommend looking for a computer with a good graphics card although this will be hard with only 500. It all comes down to what you want to play. If we're talking battlefield on the extreme graphics setting then 500 dollars just isn't going to do it. Although if we're talking Battlefield on low graphics setting you might not need a dedicated graphics card an integrated might be just fine.

Best bet for a gaming laptop is alienware. But if you want to go further with graphics and games, buy the separate parts for a PC and have someone put them together.

500$ is nothing, and it's far from gaming. Get i3 or i5 marked M processor. Like i5 4200M and get good gpu. 840M or 740M would be minimum. Go higher if budget allows. 4gb ram is fine.

It will play Minecraft as well as space engineers comfortable on high settings. It has a decent AMD Elite Quad-Core A8-5550M processor which is more than enough for Minecraft which is a processor intensive game. It also has the AMD Radeon HD 8550G graphics with up to 2158MB total graphics memory which is not bad at all… It has 4 GB RAM Which is fine for those two game… For other more graphic intensive games though; such as COD, Crysis etc, you might have to play them on low settings.
