A second hand one with a decent processor and good dedicated graphics, no new £400 laptop will be any use for gaming. There's no point in specifying models because with second hand machines it's a case of choosing from what's available.

Find an AMD A Series APU with 4gb+ RAM, preferably an A10 Quad Core & 8gb RAM, it's hard to get much more for £400.
