I'm in survival mode minecraft and I've found a village and built some more houses and built off some as well now the villagers are just disappearing slowly and now I can't find any! Is there a way that I can bring villagers back?

They are being eaten by zombies. No lying. You can go into creative mode to spawn more, or get a god's apple (the shiny golden apple) and right click a VILLAGER ZOMBIE ONLY, and it turns them back.
