Trouble with hardwired connection to a Netgear n600 dual band adapter?

Trying to play minecraft with wife and son. You must connect via LAN. 2 computers are hardwired and one is connected via Wi-Fi.

The hardwired PC's are marked as being on different networks even though its the SAME router!

one is netgear and the other is netgear-5g (the 5g connection). Again, please recall these are not connected wirelessly…

How do I tell the PC to ignore the 5g connection?

Those are just the wireless and wired networks. They should make NO difference to computer networking as such. Just check that the router is not forcing those onto different subnets. But if all your machines are in the same subnet, and have the same workgroup name you should easily be able to communicate between them.

Ok, even though someone's plugging in an Ethernet cable, their Wi-Fi adapter is still on. Since it's on -- it's automatically connecting to your router. Make sure the Ethernet users have manually turned off (disabled) their Wi-Fi adapters.

And the reason you see two Wi-Fi names is that your router has the ability to use both a 2.4 MHz signal and a 5.0 MHz signal.
