Tips for fishing on Minecraft?

Enchant your fishing rod or fish while its raining, it increases your chances for catching fish.

Right click to cast your line into the water. Make sure the lure is bobbing up and down a water source block. Now wait for a fish to bite. This will be indicated when your lure makes a splashing noise and sinks down. This is your cue to recall your line by pressing right click. If you are fast enough, the item that the lure has caught onto will come flying out of the water and towards you.

Your fishing rod has a durability value of 65. So after 65 uses, it will break. To increase your chances to catch things, you can either enchant your rod or fish while it's raining.
