Hear me out. It might be a silly topic but I need to know. Is there any website that does Minecraft server hosting? Preferably modded Minecraft. You see, I play with a friend of mine that lives in West Coast US and I'm on East Coast Canada. I host the server because I have the better internet but there's still a ping difference between us and it becomes laggy for them. Is there a way I can rent a server somewhere in Central US or even better, a way I can relocate my server to be in the US?

While there are various options, you may not have much of a choice on where your server is located.
The first (& easiest) option would be Minecraft Realms, Mojang's official Minecraft hosting services. However, it's going to be more vanilla than anything else.
Other dedicated game servers will have you spending AT LEAST $5.00 US / mo. For a decent server… While you can spend as little as $2.00 US / mo. For a server, it might be too restrictive for you to enjoy as desired. While you'll need to do some research on possible servers (as options & costs varies seriously), you should be able to find something you enjoy.
