Setting up a Minecraft server ip problems?

Hello i'm new here so help me out please. Ok i'm creating mc server and my friends can't join my server i have looke all over internet, but i just can't find a solution.So my problem is when i port forward i open up Port Cheker, it says i haven't opend the port. Still following step by step youtube videos how to port forward a minecraft server, and i can see that i have port forwarded correctly but my port still isint open. After some time i went to my router (192.168.2.1) and i saw the IP ADDRESS is asame as deafult geatway in CMD and IPV4 ADDRESS is diffrent by a number for a exampe: IPV4 address in my router is 192.168.2.4 and in CMD is 192.168.2.5 and Deafult Geatway is 192.168.2.4.

CAN ANYONE Help ME Please ANYHELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

You need to make sure that port 25565 (or whatever is set as server-port= in server.properties file) is forwarded to the LAN IP of your server. It sounds like that is 192.168.2.5. You also have to make sure that the minecraft port is not firewalled on your server.

It is somewhat more complicated if your modem is actually a modem/router using a separate router behind that. In that case in the modem/router you would need to forward the port to the WAN IP of 2nd router, and in 2nd router forward it to LAN IP of server.

But for anyone to connect from the internet, they would need to know your public IP address, which some place that checks ports like http://www.canyouseeme.org/ would show. Or if using port other than 25565 they would need to know IP_address: port.

Ok so in my server.propeties file say port is 25565 my LAN IP is port forwarded as same as my 25565 port is i went to firewall setting and i allow any inbound and outbound ports to come. I have only 1 ruter i'm using port 25565 and still MY ******* RUTER dosent allow players to join my server.Everytime i give my friends my public ip it says: java **** can't connect to the (ip)… Please help me. And yea i forgot doest it change anything if i have like i have a big house and in every coner of my house there needs to be internet so basiclly my router dosent spred that big wirless conection so my brothers put some devices that send internet to every inch of my house (it is not wirless and i just downloaded one program that tells me how many routers i have and it says i only have ruter). If you can help me anyhow i would be greatfull.
