3rd time posting this question every answer states the obvious or just flat out not read my details. So to be clear I know what I need to do to (hopefully) stop my crashing. The problem is that the option to do so is MISSING. That being said here are the details copy/pasted
In the sever I play I kept getting crashes like "Internal Exception: Java.io.IOException: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine" And looking that error up, one of the suggestions is to make sure the Minecraft version I run is the same as the server. I thought I was only to find they updated from 1.7.4 to 1.7.6. I tried to create a 1.7.6 profile but the option is not there. It goes
1.7.9
1.7.5
1.7.4
1.7.3
1.7.2
and so on
I have tried playing on 1.7.9 and no dice. In fact, the crashing is even worse and more frequent than in 1.7.4.
Just a reminder the version list above is All the 1.7 versions that clicking "New Profile" in the launcher will give me. How do I get 1.7.6?
