Depends on your age and what type of minecraft you play. I'm 19 and have my own modded server that me and a couple of friends play on, so obviously I don't want to play with someone under the age of 16.
Have you tried looking for a minecraft server online? Just google it and it will give you a list of IP to use and there are tons of good ones out there with many people playing it.
