How to make a long distance LAN server for Minecraft?

I've recently downloaded hypixel's adventure map Herobrine's Mansion and I want to play with my cousin without Hamachi and the whole server setup thing if possible.

There's no other way aside from a VPN type program like Hamachi, or portforwarding. There are clients like Evolve, though they work the same way as Hamachi.

In other words, you're either going to have to use a program that creates a pseudo LAN network, or you'll have to forward a port or two.

Try and use utorrent once downloaded click prefernces and then click connection then type in the box 25565 and uncheck radomise port every time you boot up windows
