My internal ip is 10.0.1.6 after my mom got a apple airport extreme or basestation i'm not sure, i used to be able to access my router on 192.168.0.x but now it won't load up and i need to add my server ip into that mess.

10 and 192 are different classes and they can't 'see' each other.
you need to (assuming DHCP is used) find the router IP (or gateway address)
easiest way to do this is to create a command prompt and type ipconfig (Assuming windows and not Mac)
and look for where it says gateway address.
it will probably be 10.0.1.1 try that

Id36uk is correct. I just wanted to add a minor bit of information. Mine defaults to 10.0.0.1 when that happens. So that is one to try as well.
