Does anyone have a server I could be admin on or own?

Microsoft use to package a server with their operating systems so a person could do a desktop server for their own private use, but I don't think they're available anymore.

But, if you wish to buy one, simply go to a few hosting companies and tell them what you want to do and they'll give you the monthly cost to own your own server. You will probably find the price range competitive, but checking with 3 or 4 different hosting companies will give you a good idea of what you will be facing, every month.

The downside here, aside from the cost, is usually that you will need to set it up yourself, or pay someone a handsome fee to do it for you.

Do it with linux. All you need is a old pc. Pretty cheap.
