Could livestreaming and hosting a server at once take a lot of internet?

I'm about to do my first stream with a few friends tommorow but I've never streamed and hosted a minecraft server at the same time. We don't get any lag at all (although sometimes the internet restarts but rarely), and I'm just wondering if also streaming would take a lot of internet power to go through, or it isn't as bad?

Added (1). Also, the way we talk to each other in the stream is super entertaining, but also super controversial if you can't "handle" them. Should I be concerned? I mean, I'm not exactly physically threatening anybody. Besides, all of our jokes are just jokes, not serious.

Yeah live streaming eats tons of bandwidth.

Bandwidth… Sure your going to eat into bandwidth streaming and running a game server at the same time… What else is going to happen should be more of a concern… Your computers processor and your megs of ram… I have a sneaky feeling your gonna push your computer either to the max or over the edge… You'll find out soon enough…
