Can i get a virus through skype?

Soy lately i have been playing alot of Minecraft servers and stuff and i recently met a guy there whom i've becomed really good friends with, the thing is while we were playing on the server one of his friends started messing with me, i got mad, logged in with his account and banned his friend, 5 minutes after that he told me via skype that he was sending a trojan to my pc and that it will delete all my boot up files and i wouldnt be able to turn on my pc. I know its the internet, alot of things can happen, but there are people who know alot about this. Since he was the owner of the server he does know my IP address. Any help?

Added (1). Well, i haven't experienced any slow downs or anything and i also haven't gotten any more messages from him… Anyways, is there any way i can like, stop the risk of he sending me that trojan?

p.s: i deleted and blocked him from skype

Unless you received any files from him you should be as safe as you were before.

IP address is like the house full address if you know the someone's address. It does not mean you will decide to break in, and if he decided it does not mean he or she will succeed(I'm not saying it is impossible)

To use Skype you have to be on the Internet.
Being on the Internet is what will allow viruses to get near your system.
Using Skype is no more and LOTS less risky than any other program - it is just being on the Internet with a web browser that is dangerous.

If someone sends you something you should be carefull, except this i don't think so, skype doesn't have virus.
