Someone please answer! I Really want to download maps and resource packs. When I open the downloaded resource pack or map folder, they have all the right stuff. But anytime I try to move the Map or Resource pack into the saves or resource packs folders in.minecraft the resource pack or map 's content disappear. What I'm doing wrong?!
Added (1). Oh yeah and another thing; I can't move any.dat files at all
If you want maps to be installed:
Windows + R = Run it'll open up a box, and then type %AppData%\.minecraft into the box, then it should bring you to your Minecraft folder, you should see your saves and resource packs there. (By the way: You should add the resource packs (copy and paste) it into the resource packs folder during your Minecraft game (main menu), ALSO! Be sure that you extract it first ONLY if it's a.zip folder.
Continuing on the Minecraft maps: Be sure you extract it as I said before.^^ copy and paste that folder into your.saves folder, and be sure you're on the correct version as well (go into edit profile to do so).
