I'm trying to okay minecraft with my brother and I don't know how to set up split screen. I have a 720p+ tv and it is connected to HDMI. Whenever I try and connected the second control nothing happens. The second controller will be on and working but nothing will pop up. Is there something in the setting I need to change?

Your tv is 720p but your ps3 has to be set to 720p+ or 1080p. To do this, you have to go under settings and scroll down to display settings. Then you want to click on HDMI. Next, you want to wait for the screen to stop turning black, and click 720p or 1080p. NOT 1080i! Then confirm and there you have it go back, start the game press the ps button and press start. If this does not work, try turning off your ps3. Then hold down the ps3 power button until it beeps twice, select yes and it will ask if you can see and click yes. Simple.
