Gaming pc for $500 or under?

So i decided i might get into gaming on a pc since i think the ps4 isn't really worth it. Currently i have a family pc which my whole family uses and its extremely slow and old. I do get really great Wi-Fi though on my ps3 and ipod. I'm 15 and i have saved up about $400 but i'm sure my mother could throw some money in. I will mostly be playing around with newer games and some older ones with modding (gta 4, skyrim, minecraft, etc), maybe a little internet browsing and typing papers here and there, but still mostly gaming. In all honesty i know nothing about modding or pc gaming other than videos i have seen on them. I don't know too much about ram and graphics cards and all that so i would appreciate some info on that too. I would like someone who has some expirience with this kind of stuff too, please and thank you in advance.

Sorry bro… You will have a hard time finding a Gaming Laptop for $500… The average price for a gaming laptop is around $950 - $1,000… You can find decent computers at walmart for $300 - $500 that are fast enough for some game… (Not like Call of Duty)

Try this website www.quibids.com it is legit… Its been on TV before… I've used it too! You get everything for really low prices…

Please answer my question about Emo…

I got one for $750 ish the lenovo ideapad y410p plays games great awesome graphics card, red backlite keys, awesome speakers. You might be able to get a used one for $500? Try a pawn shop.

A PC consists of:
CPU and cooler(included or aftermarket), motherboard, ram, HDD, optional SSD, critical graphics card, computer case, power supply, DVDRW for disk loading, operating system, any additional fans

Here is a powerful gaming PC, but with Windows is $700, and also needs monitor, amplified speakers and/or headset, keyboard, and mouse

Windows is $90. Monitor-display over $100. Decent cpu typically $100. Etc as shown.

You can do economy builds a few ways.
The A10-7850K has been raised in price, and although is a great quad core and built-in graphics, the $185 price is too high. It approximates an R7-250 graphics and fx-4350 cpu.
Suppose we try AMD Athlon X4 760K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor
start with included cpu cooler
ASRock FM2A75M Pro4+ Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard gets 8 channel audio, crossfire capable, 4 dimm slots, SATA III, USB 3.0 front+rear
Single 4GB ram stick pending future upgrade, but on sale, happens to be CAS10 instead of CAS9
1TB Western Digital 7200 rpm 64MB Cache SATA III HDD
R7 260 as 26% above an HD 7750

Still 32% below a PS4:

The Enermax Ostrog case is out of stock at Amazon, so NZXT Source 220 case
Corsair CX500 power supply
dvdrw and windows.
Base Total: $563.14, Mail-in Rebates:-$52.00, Total: $511.14 plus a bit of extra shipping and possible sales tax

still needs keybd/mouse/display(or use a tv with hdmi)
That is squeezed down but still good quality parts.
