How to get string in minecraft pe?

I'm kinda freaked out by the spiders though and i don't want to go near them. Is that the only way of getting string? By killing spiders?

Killing spiders is the only way to get string.

Killing spiders or destroying cobwebs is the only way to obtain string (can only be done with a sword)

Sorry in PE the only way to get string is to kill spiders. Cobwebs might be added in a later patch that will be another way to get it, but for the time being Spiders are the only way.
