I've been doing some ghostwriting for people who publish their minecraft fiction online and it got me thinking I want to publish my own line of books. But I was wondering if I need to ask permission from Minecraft itself and, if so, how do I contact them? Minecraft peeps, please help me!

You could write it as a fanfiction for free, but you're gonna run into some legal trouble if you try selling/publishing it. Mojang owns the copyrights, so you'd have to make some sort of deal with them. I wouldn't get my hopes up too high if I were you though… A request like that probably wouldn't go over very well unless you had some pretty solid credentials. And even then they might intentionally not want to add anything to the canon in the interest of still not having any sort of canon.
