Is it true minecraft is going to be shutdown?

I bought Just bought Minecraft and it says play demo?

It only says play demo! Yes, I did check and check and check I had the right account.

My MC Launcher Won't Launch MC?

My launcher will load. Everything works fine (Profiles work and tabs work. Recent updates is recent) but when I press "Play" it looks like it's loading, then the launcher just re-opens. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, went into (name)\appdataoaming\.minecraft and deleted everything, but it still won't work. I also installed the latest version of Java to see if that changes anything. Nothing has worked yet
