No villages in Minecraft?

Added (1). I've been playing on this singleplayer world now and i can't find any villages for carrots? Please help!

Added (2). the version is 1.8 release and the seed is 963066424 you should spawn by a desert and lots of dark oak trees if someone could find a village and give me the coordinates please

They are generated randomly

I agree with Paul, but I seem to find more villages in desert biomes. Also if you need carrots or potatoes zombies have a small chance of dropping them so you can find a zombie spawner, hunt them at night, or make your own spawner. Other than that I can't help you.

Keep looking, they're usually found in plateaus or in flat lands. They are also randomly generated so you won't find any with specific coordinates. There's a seed you can use that will get you there.

I use a program called Amidst. You can input your seed and it shows you a map marking all the villages, temples, etc. I'm still on minecraft version 1.7.1, so I don't know for sure if that changes things. But I input your seed into the Amidst program and it does show spawn in a desert near a forest.

The program is not ALWAYS accurate, sometimes it says there's a village and there's no village there. But I will give you the coordinates of the closest villages it shows, and you can check them out.

Closest to spawn: [304, 512]
[-240, 848]
[832, 112]
[-928, -240]

If those don't work for you, you can look into downloading the program yourself. Along with generating maps for seeds and giving random seeds, you can also import the map from single player games, so it will show you exactly where you are and what features are around you. If you do that you have to import from the Saves folder, select the game, and choose the level.dat file.

Hope this helps you!

Keep looking! And are you sure you have enabled them?
