I really wanted to spawn in or near a village in survival mode but every time I enter a seed that claims to have a village it never seems to work. Even if I walk to the coordinates given. Is there a reason why they don't seem to be working? I've tried several seeds that appeared to work for everyone else… But still no luck. What am I doing wrong?

What version of minecraft are you running, probably 1.7.4 so you have to use videos from 1.7.4 if you use anyother version like 1.6 it won't work. Just make sure the seed is for what version your using.

Some seeds have no villages.

You have to make sure the seeds you look up are for your version of minecraft.
If you find a seed for minecraft 1.6.4, and you're playing on 1.7.4, It's not going to work.
