How far do two NPC villages have to be apart in Minecraft?

At least 1000 blocks apart

Villages are placed on generation algorithms, and there's no set distance, no max and no min… I've found villages literally 200 or 300 blocks away from the other village, and i've found some 2000 blocks away, it varies.

There's no set distance for that.
