I got a new computer yesterday with an msi GTX 960 graphics card, a nearly empty 1TB hard drive, 8 GB of installed ram, and a processor which is 1.4 faster than my old laptop. Yet on Minecraft, one of the simplest games to run, my old computer with a nearly full hard drive, a much less powerful graphics card, and and much less powerful processor is doing better than my new one. I made sure everything was up to date and such, but still, my old computer runs at around 128 fps while my new, $500 more expensive one is running at 62. Um… Help? Please? This is kind of irritating me. A lot.
New, Much Better Computer Running Slower?

128 frames per second? On your old machine? Do you have a monitor that can support that? I doubt that… Unless your monitor can support 144 hz ( the 144 hz means it can support 144 frames per second )…
What I believe you are seeing on your new machine is the correct frame rate per second…
