Minecraft Server Mod

I want to get the Timbur mod for my minecraft server BUT my mate can't get mods so is there a way around this? Do I just get the mod and put it mod the server folder? I'm not sure! I'm using 1.7.9 and bukkit isn't out.

Is timber mod available for server. If it Isent and you are using client than it won't work
