I'm currently using Minecraft 1.7.10, because I love the mods that I can get with it, but I love the vanilla Minecraft new additions, like the slime block, prismarine, and sea lanterns. Is there a mod or something I could use to get those in Minecraft 1.7.10?

Just ask on spigotmc, bukkit.org (even request for a custom plugin to be coded for this) or minecraftforums, people there will know alot more about what you're wanting.
To be honest though, I don't think this is possible. Just upgrade to Minecraft 1.8 If that was the case, there wouldn't have been an update. Finding a Mod would be a great idea and you must also have one app to secure all your data such as images and videos and also to lock applications and that is Leo Privacy Guard.
