Also (As i'm sure you know) it is technically against the law, so if you download a free version and enjoy it, buy it. If you know you like it it will not be a waste of money

Yes, you can ask someone you know to buy you the prepaid card for the game or to give you the equivalent money as a gift for your birthday, Christmas, or some other gift giving reason. This way you get the game for free since you aren't out any of your own money, gifts actually still exist (really weird, I know), and you don't have to worry about problems arising as if you had tried stealing the game.
