Everybody on youtube say I need to do that ram thing with allocating more ram to minecraft I've done that exactly watched like 10 different videos but still doesn't change anything it lags when I'm playing with mods or technic launcher Help!

A quick google shows that vanilla/plain minecraft RAM requirement is 2 GB. This requirement will be increased if you have any other mods running. In addition, depending on your operating system, you may need upwards of an additional 2 GB, plus more depending on what programs you have running at the time (big ones being web browsers and music player).
As such, the software-end fix can be as followed:
- end any other programs that you don't use while playing to free up as much RAM as possible (including web browsers)
- check that the cause is not something else, like near-max CPU usage.
- extreme version: disable virtual paging to avoid using slower HD memory and slow memory swapping. Do note that having insufficient RAM may cause this to crash your computer.
Having said that, if RAM limitation is truly a problem, then you may need a hardware fix, which is to buy more RAM and install it on your computer. Seeing how this is posted in the Laptop/Notebook section, the typical place for finding spare RAM slots is on the bottom of many laptops (refer to user manual).
