What are your thoughts on having either of those in a survival world?
How do you feel about turning on Peaceful mode while trying to get to something that a horde of hostile mobs are surrounding?
What about turning off mob griefing so a creeper's explosion won't destroy your structure?
Do you think these are "wussy" things to do?
Minecraft: Peaceful mode and Mob Griefing?
Peaceful mode definitely is a "wussy" thing to do in my opinion.
The objective of the game should not only be an objective, but an hard one.
It kinda breaks the fun and challenging aspect of taking back your home or something.
(Which is why i use mods, to make mobs harder, like breaking through walls and building ladders.)
Mob Griefing i have off, sometimes…
I like that creepers blow you up and give you that schock when you die.
But i don't always see the neccesary in exploding your buildings, or farms.
In my opinion it aint a "wussy" thing to do.
It kinda ruins some of the fun of the game for me, so I never set it to peaceful mode. Mobs running around at night are pretty much the main motivation to build houses and stuff. It feels like it loses its purpose a little when there's nothing there. Besides, it makes exploring caves much more exciting. It'd otherwise be kinda boring.
As for mob griefing… I didn't know that was a thing you could turn off. Is it recent? I haven't played in a month or two. Still, I don't think I would anyways. Protecting your stuff is as important as building it I think.
No, there are mods to do this for you, if you play 1.6 then get the mod loading things and get all of those mods that do this for you, or just ones for mobs being non-hostile, or creepers no going "boom". Hope this helped
