Okay, so my sister downloaded the new 1.3.10 launcher, and whenever she presses play the launcher disappears and the game opens shows up with Mojang. Then the window just closes and the launcher appears again. Any solution on getting it working?

There's a problem with initialization in the game. Try reinstalling 1.7.4. If that doesn't work, delete.minecraft and run the launcher again.
