Is the Inspiron 15 Non-Touch good fit for me?

I'm getting the Inspiron 15 Non-Touch
$349.99

I've decided to order it and get it shipped, its coming on the 24th. I'm getting it for an art internship and school work.

I've been searching and searching for answers and the suspense is driving me crazy! So i was wondering if someone on here could help me out? (it would be a godsend)

I'm an highschool student who occasionally (which is an overstatement, barely i play games) likes to game, not to play the new big triple A titles, but occasionally play Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and Minecraft, and the occasional mmorpg at low settings!

For Art i love to run photoshop Cs6, Flash, Sony Vegas, Paint tool sai, Manga studio 5 ex and Zbrush. I don't do big gigantic professional things them but i digitally paint ( a lot) and i play around with Zbrush just to get a feel of it, I use a wacom intuos 5 touch Medium!

(It doesn't come with an optical drive but i'm cool since i have a usb one)

I mostly Draw, go on the internet, watch videos, sometimes look at Netflix and listen to music.

I'm not asking for the top of the line performance on the Photoshop, flash, Pant tool sai and Manga studio side but i want it to run clean enough

I also want to run a screen cap software to do speedpaints and sometimes do skype

I've been hearing a lot of talk about switching the OS to ubuntu what's up with that, should i change the OS to ubuntu or leave it at windows 8 or downgrade to 7?

Will i enjoy this laptop, is it right for me?

Not the best processor or graphics for gaming. Look up the software systwm requirements for photoshop Cs6, Flash, Sony Vegas, Paint tool sai, Manga studio 5 ex and Zbrush and compare to the laptop as to processor and graphics card chip set to see if it will run on the laptop and do same for all games.
