Is a HP - ENVY 15.6 Laptop - 8GB Memory - 750GB Hard Drive Good for gameing?

+I have searched everywhere looking for answers and it all says that 4GB is more than enough for My games but i still have a doubt in my mind.(I would like to find out before Christmas)
