Is a CyberPowerPC - Gamer Ultra Desktop - AMD FX-Series - 16GB Memory - 2TB Hard Drive good?

Is this PC good for gameing? Http://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpowerpc-gamer-ultra-desktop-amd-fx-series-16gb-memory-2tb-hard-drive-black-blue/4592900.p?id=1219775848732&skuId=4592900 I would appreciate if someone can explain if the pc is good for handling Steam, Modded mine craft and ETC.

-Thanks in advance.

The Best buy computer is not great at gaming.

Every computer is a set of parts, and anyone can build their own.
Gaming computers are mostly about the graphics processor.
It is a long answer to try to explain everything about gaming computers, but as a general guidance, there are high quality builders at higher cost. There are the lower quality semi-custom like CyberpowerPC which can be more cost effective than a top quality builder but yields some flaws in the parts chosen. The brand names you know generally are worse than the CyberpowerPC/iBuypower, etc.

For the particular one you show,
1) Missing almost all brand and model information about the parts, with zero information about the motherboard and power supply. They are using a custom computer case. It is pretty and cheap because USB front is 2.0.
2) They are a custom builder also where you can choose parts: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/
3) Its "pretty" factor is better than its performance. It is an FX-8320, missing a superior CPU cooler for overclock, as an 8-core is often poorly used in gaming, and only is R7 250 as a graphics card, so is low gaming performance for a $700 PC.

I would guess the motherboard as cheap and power supply weak. So, changing the power supply and adding a decent graphics card fixes it. That will cost another $150 to $250 to be a good PC, though more or less can be spent. It will work on old games like modded minecraft, but for the price and if you decide you would like to play the latest games one day, I don't like it. They use a big cheap HDD, but the cost from 1TB to 2TB is not much, and ram is about $5 a GB on average and 8 is enough.

You can take the time to learn about parts and building a PC. It is not that hard. However, you can also buy a good gaming pc if you know what you are looking for.

$500 to $1000 new gaming PCs of FX series or core i5

Quick choice:

GPU as expected gaming average:

R7 250 is 1415 score. GTX 950 is 5359. 3.8 times the average gaming.
Delivered price a little lower.
Same CPU. Similar CPU cooler. Free game download. Still a disappointing motherboard and power supply.
Enough ram at 8GB and enough storage at 1TB. These can be upgraded later. It is a cheap 2 slot RAM motherboard, so to go to 16GB as 2x8, will have to replace rather than add ram.
Includes Wi-Fi adapter.

If you are lazy, you can buy the one at Newegg.com and it is far stronger at gaming.

A little better R9 380 system

They keep the price about the same with a cheaper case.

Let's see what this does:

FX-8320, Spec-01 computer case, Free wireless adapter and mousepad, an OK CPU water cooler included, GIGABYTE 970A-DS3P motherboard ($67 board instead of $46 on the others), 8GB 1600 speed ram, GTX 950 2GB GDDR5 upgrade, Heroes of the STorm game, 600 Watts - EVGA 600 80 PLUS Power Supply, 1TB Caviar Blue drive, Bluray burner. Windows 10. 3 year warranty labor/1yr parts
$765

vs the $657, better cpu cooler, motherboard, power supply, optical drive, hdd, warranty - delivery delayed. No it terrible! I had it before for minecraft and steam and it was so laggy! It sucked it kept crashing! It the worst piece of junk ever! Jk never had it lol have fun with minercraft! Add me on Skype at dino.noobz1 R7 250 is a mid range video card, at best (some would call it lower end). Thus, this is not a good gaming machine for mid to high level games. Low end games, it should be ok. You are better off building one your self
